Case Evaluation: 15 minutes by telephone. Free.
You may contact me to receive a free evaluation of your case. We will discuss the key facts of your case and your short-term objectives and long-term goals. I will offer general guidance and potential solutions.
The purpose of a case evaluation is to determine whether I can help you. If I believe my services match your needs, I will suggest you schedule a consultation with me. If I do not offer the services you need, and I personally know a reputable attorney who does, I’ll refer you to him or her.
Consultation: up to 1 hour by telephone, by video (Skype), or in person. Flat fee, $100.
If you wish to receive specific advice beyond what I offer in a free case evaluation, a consultation is the next step. I provide consultations in person, by telephone, or by Skype, depending on where you live and how you prefer to communicate.
I charge a $100 fee for a consultation (usually one hour). You receive tremendous value from the advice and guidance I provide in a consultation.
If you hire me the same day to represent you, I will waive the consultation fee. If you hire me the next day to represent you, I will credit the consultation fee to your initial payment or to your first invoice.
During the consultation, I will ask about the details of your situation, describe your options, evaluate the strengths and weaknesses in your case, and answer your questions. I will also quote you my fee for representing you in your matter.
Limited Representation
I can assist you with specific aspects of your case, such as reviewing the application packet you prepared before you submit it to USCIS, following up on a pending petition, attending USCIS interviews, and conducting legal research on specific issues.
Full Representation
I can handle all aspects of your case from start to finish. For example, if you wish to file a marriage-based application for adjustment to lawful permanent resident status, I give you a list of required forms, documents and filing fees; finalize and file your petition or application on your behalf; prepare you for the USCIS interview; attend the interview with you; and follow up with USCIS until you receive a decision.
Hiring Dyan Williams Law
If we agree to work with each other, I will provide a written contract that specifies the fee and the scope of the work I will do for you. Representation begins after I receive the signed contract and your initial payment.
